Tī Kouka Weaving

11 Hopper St
Sunday June 21st, 1 - 4pm

Do you have some tī kouka leaves lying around your backyard or your street? Many see this plant as a pain to collect, of keep off the lawn, but it is full of mana and potential. Build a relationship with this treasure through woven creations. In this session we explore how to process tī kouka for basic weaving, making placemats or little baskets. Learn woven bases, twining and track borders - in addition to ideas to keep you exploring on your planty weaving journeys.

After this workshop there is continued support to be found in our Plant-Based Crafts Club which happens every second Wednesday of the month.

A portion of all Generous tier tickets goes towards free monthly Micro Mill workshops for community organisations like the Wellington Women’s House.
