Brikkevev
Sunday 11th October
11am - 4pm
11 Hopper St
Learn brikkevev, a Norwegian style of card weaving and make your own brikkevev belt! It’s a simple craft that creates gorgeous and strong bands, which can be woven from any fibres you dream of. We’ll be weaving cotton yarn with a simple pattern, in a workshop suitable for all levels. Imo will also show an example of a more complicated brikkevev pattern and give advice for this for your future brikkevev endeavours!
All materials supplied, but you’re welcome to bring your own fibre and tools to weave with if you like. Brikkevev cards are included in the workshop so you can continue your weaving at home, but piece holders and back straps will be available to purchase if desired.
