Wheel Spinning 101

Do you have a spinning wheel in your life that you want to know how to use? Do you dream of the gentle clack of the treadle and want to know how spinning wheels work? Have you spotted the wheel in the library Makerspace and want to learn how to give it a go?

This workshop will be a fun-filled afternoon to get you across the basics of how spinning wheels work and the foundational skills needed to spin. We’ll have some MicroMill wheels on hand, and you are also welcome to bring in any wheels, fibre, or spinning related equipment for us to look over and discuss. You will leave with the knowledge to kick off or continue your spinning practice, questions answered and links to future opportunities to keep learning and spinning in community.
