Rug Braiding

Join Monica for another wholesome afternoon of craft! We’ll touch on the techniques used to make single braid sewn rugs, but focus on learning 4-stranded braiding techniques, learning how to find and process materials and how to build your experimentation with natural dyes, varied shapes, or non-fabric materials. Basic fabric for the workshop is provided - but you are highly encouraged to bring fabric that is meaningful to you in colour or origin. Think old but clean bedsheets/tablecloths, fabric in the colours of your home spaces, or even clothing desiring a new life.
