Haere mai fibre and natural dye lovers! 

Join us at Hataitai Community Centre for a full day of creating and dyeing with natural fibres! This craftastic event will begin with the choice between drop spindle spinning wool with Mo, or cotton macrame with Ruby. After some fibre play we'll get together for lunch, we would love if you have the capacity to bring a plate to share, but this is not essential! After lunch Leni will give us a dye bath demonstration and everyone will have the opportunity to dye their yarn or macrame.

For spinning, you are welcome to join as a beginner or returning student to gather some extra skills. Beginners will start with the basics and returning students will have the opportunity to experiment with different fibres, preparation techniques and styles of spinning.

Ruby welcomes all levels of macrame and knot tying. We'll be learning how to make Ruby's signature hanging plant pot holder.

All materials and tools are supplied. Bring a plate to share for lunch if you would like, no expectations. If you have specific dietary requirements or food allergies please let us know via email: micromillteam@gmail.com
